2021 LOPAI
This Grand Cru site on Vineyard Drive has been a backbone of MFN since 2015. New owner and deeply-rooted Templeton native Brian Lopez returned home from San Francisco to make real his dream of amplifying the region that he loves. Guided by nature and inspired by technology, he is committed to realizing the highest potential of this site while using sustainable farming practices. The vineyard is run by soil scientist Steve Viera whom is wildly respected throughout the state of California, and together their passion is tantamount to the quality of every bottle of MFN. Another cooler Willow Creek site, we usually don’t harvest here until the second week of November!
As one of our cooler vineyard sites, Lopai came in last for harvest but reminded us of every reason we love this vineyard. This wine greets you with sweet stone fruits and plump raspberries which sway into warm roasted coffee and a tease of violet. Lopai continues to deliver on bright acidity and balanced tannins. We don't like playing favorites but excuse us while we pop open a few of our own bottles! Vineyard designates are reserved for club members only. Club members - please log in to purchase.
